Project Showcase Release: April 6, 11:30am PT; 8:30pm CET

Xiomara Peña is the Vice President of Small Business Majority, a national small business organization that empowers America’s diverse entrepreneurs to build a thriving and equitable economy. In her video statement, she tells us more about how the organization advocates for public policy solutions, delivers resources to entrepreneurs that promote equitable small business growth and helps small businesses facing systemic inequalities. A thriving small business ecosystem is central to creating a dynamic and equitable economy and also to restore trust in a political system. Since small businesses represent 99% of all employer firms and account for half of the United State’s jobs and economic output, small business are the backbone of the U.S. economy and also its foundation.

Xiomara Peña is the Vice President at Small Business Majority’ and drives the organization’s external engagement efforts toward a more inclusive and equitable economy that directly benefits entrepreneurs in underserved communities. She currently serves on the Advisory Council for Support Latino Business, Steering Committee for Entrepreneurship Advantage LA, Steering Committee for Raising our Voices Coalition and the Business Advisory Council for UNITE-LA. Xiomara has given presentations across the country to business owners, strategic partners, and elected officials. She was a LinkedIn Top Voice in 2019 under the Entrepreneurship & Small Business category—a recognition with only ten leaders acknowledged in each category every year. In 2019, Xiomara served on Governor Newsom’s Paid Family Leave Task Force.
